There are many animal rescue programs throughout the world. Most of these programs count on private funding to survive. Artists have been very generous with their time and efforts. Many of these programs get their funding by selling art work that has been donated by artists. While many of the pieces feature animals, it is not necessary. The goal is to sell the art that is donated in order to assist with caring for the animals. Any piece of art donated for sale is used in this manner. Many artists do create art pieces that showcase animals and try to further this noble cause.
